Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Wave 2 is here, and it confirms a datamine leak.
Hi, So this was originally going to be posted back on July 28th, but I decided to wait until bigger news websites like Nintendo Life to report on it, and they did, so I'm deciding to publish this now as a bit of a smaller and simplified report about it.
Welp, the time if finally here, Nintendo unveiled the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 2 DLC.
And for a quick opinion, it doesn't look that bad. Hell, the visuals looked like it improved by a whole lot, not by MK8's visual territory, but enough that doesn't look ugly in general like the first wave. I mean take a look at these courses:
Very amazing, anyways.
This DLC confirms a datamine leak that surfaced when the DLC released in March. Well, what am I talking about? Basically, a Twitter user by the name fishguy6564 did some cracking that makes the game collect prefixed data from the files that were left by devs working on the DLC and place them in the upcoming cups if they're selected.
People speculated that this is just testing purposes and not confirmed courses that were selected for each cup/wave. But, today comes, and I decided to resurface the video fishguy posted, and to say that I'm surprised is an understatement.
This is very interesting. And a game changer as well because unlike Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC, each datamined waves basically tells us which course will come from (game-wise not course-wise) along with a few original courses as well, which I believe fuels speculation and more accurate predictions on which course will be added by the end of 2023.
Well, that's all I got for today, I'll see you all next time in the next blog.
