Oobi Dash's Blog

Hey! It's been some time since my last blog. Sorry for not being that active on here, I never had any intentions beyond the Nintendo 2022 thing I'm still making (or put on hold for a bit). But I'm making it up, after this blog, I'll be doing more smaller blogs that go into more of my opinionated stuff on movie and gaming subjects. I also have a separate blog coming up where I'm planning on doing media review and a new blog series that I'm going to do (the last couple of sentences from that Sonic Origins blog was a tease).    (Hi again, so this is another update, I decided to change my one of the statements that I written since it actually gotten a bit too out of place on a blog about a acquisition, so I apologize if you had to see it (if you did).)   So, I'm gonna stop the talking, here's the blog of my opinion about the Disney/Fox acquisition: Wow. 3 years since Disney decided to wake up and play Monopoly. So this is kind of a dead subject since the dea...

So, Nintendo finally showcased some new Nintendo games coming this year. And you know what, I'll go on and say... It's actually alright. Yeah it wasn't anything too awesome and shit, but there's some games on there that left couple of fans excited, including me. Let's get off to Part 2 of this Nintendo 2022 Blog. Mario Strikers: Battle League Already kicking off with one of few big highlight announcements of the show. Mario Strikers is back baby! As someone who hasn't played the soccer game on neither GameCube nor Wii, this looks like to be a good start to try out the series. And while I'm exited... I'm also optimistic. You see, Mario sports have a really bad rep on the Switch. And it all comes to releasing the game in some form, and finish it later via updates. It's unfortunately a common thing a lot of game studios do regardless if they're big or not, and it really sucks. And okay, I understand the argument that some do offer them for free and...

Hey y'all, so it's been a while right? So basically what's been going on is that there's been a lot of things happening recently. Heck just a few days ago Nintendo dropped their financial reports where they revealed that the Switch hit over 100 million hardware sales, making it their most successful console since the Wii. Also Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling despite it being released 5 years ago. And there's also something that's sparking some excitement. Yep, it's that time of the year once again. New Direct airing tomorrow where they announce... games. So, what am I gonna do? Push back the Leaks/Rumors + Predictions as a Part 3. That means that I'm going to go over the details of the announcements there was on the presentation as Part 2 of the blog. Then, Part 3 will go through the leaked/rumored games that weren't revealed on the Direct and then go down with my predictions on what's going to happen in the next 10 months. And that's th...

Note: This was originally planned as one big blog post, but with how much information I'm going to put down, I'm separating this into 2 parts. The first part is jotting down the upcoming Switch games this year with my anticipation, and the second part will talk about the rumors and leaks along with predictions.   Ah, 2022 is finally here. And it's a big breath of fresh air since my free trial of life is about to expire on March 19th. Anyways, gaming... isn't necessarily the one to be excited about in recent times. With things like corporate meddling, lies, politics, lawsuits and all of that sad stuff, it's overall a corrupted shell of its former self, sad I know. However, just because gaming nowadays isn't as good as its glory days, it doesn't mean there's no good games in today's time. There's plenty. As a recent example, there's games like Metroid Dread, It Takes Two, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Resident Evil Village, Shin Megami Ten...

Hey y'all. So I thought I'd never be making this blog, but I guess one of the hottest takes has happened on the most positive site in the whole wide world, Twitter. So let's see what all the fuss is about. So what's going on is that there's this new HBO Max show called Santa Inc. And from what I've seen based off the trailer.... yea, it's political at its finest and the 172K people who dislike it has their reasoning. Jokes about white males with a lot of stereotypical unfunny jokes? Yep. Characters cursing like it's no end? Yep. Jokes about real world issues? I think you guys get the point... it's nothing but unnecessary nudity, animation kinda hit-and-miss there-to-there with it being a low budget Robot Chicken show, and it's basically a worse modern Family Guy if you can even believe it. (Hey YouTube, this 👏 is 👏 why 👏 dislikes 👏 are 👏 important) Honestly, just watch the Predator Christmas Special. For four things, one, yea, has vio...

So, as you all know and love to hate, Nintendo Switch has this online service called Nintendo Switch Online, where you get to play online games that use a peer-to-peer connection, play obscure NES/SNES games, have cloud storage, get useless deals, and use the useless smartphone app, all for $19.99/year. It's pretty much a useless service and exactly copies what Microsoft and Sony are doing. Now we have this "big" expansion for the Switch Online service. Let's see what they have to offer:           1. Nintendo 64 games Okay, so this is pretty expected. I mean, we have Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Mario Tennis, Yoshi's Story, Mario Kart 64, etc. We also have upcoming ones like Banjo-Kazooie, Paper Mario, Mario Golf, Majora's Mask, and a whole lot, so that's cool. We also get to buy the controller, which one question, why the hell would you do that in the first place? Now we get to the next console Nintendo revealed:       ...
